I've often thought that it'd be a good idea to make a movie or write a book that is basically the same as a typical hero story, but with the sexes flipped. I wonder if people would enjoy a female "knight" saving some helpless man as much as the "normal way". (The other caveat is that it can't just be some supermodel type woman just there for eye candy, just a normal looking woman.)
In a way, I think the Disney movie, Mulan, made a step in that direction. The protagonist wasn't buxom, or ditzy (she did have to hide as a boy), but she was clever, and ends up saving the day. :)
Also, in the book realm, I like The Paperbag Princess. :)
Hmm I haven't seen Mulan but I'll have to check it out....I have never heard of that book before but i looked it up on amazon and I think I need to buy it now :-) Thanks for telling me about it.
