Whooping cough is making a comeback. Whooping cough, aka Pertussis, is a highly contagious, but preventable infection. Infants can be particularly vulnerable. After 55 years of no Pertussis-related deaths, 9 infants have died this year already in California. Here's a link to a flyer to promote testing, treatment and reducing transmission.
But, we don't need to treat and reduce transmission (or rarely need to) if you take the time to get yourself and your kids immunized (including adult booster shots).
