We had cupcakes to celebrate my advisor's birthday, and they were, in my opinion, unsatisfying. The cake was oily and lacked flavor, and the frosting was extremely thick, greasy and too sweet. As luck would have it, I saw this article on NPR about the
rise of the cupcake. What I really like about the article is the list of recipes at the bottom. I will definitely be testing out a black bean or chickpea cupcake soon.
